The guide
What a plumber website needs, and how Moon does it
What a plumber's website has to do
Most people look for a plumber on their phone, and a lot of them have water on the floor while they do it. A plumber's website has two jobs: let someone with an emergency ring you in one tap, and let everyone else ask for a price without having to chase you.
Every Moon plumbing website is built around those two jobs. The call button sits on every page, the quote form asks the questions you would ask on the phone, and the page tells people straight away which towns you cover, so the calls you get are the ones you want.
Call-outs and emergencies
Your header can say you do emergency call-outs day and night, with your number one tap away on every page. Your opening hours sit next to it, so people know when to ring and when to send a quote request instead.
Late-night visitors who would rather type than call can use the live chat. It answers from your own details straight away, such as the areas you cover and your hours, and every chat is saved as an enquiry for the morning.
Quote requests that arrive ready to price
The quote form lists your own services: boiler repairs and servicing, new boilers, bathrooms, leaks, radiators, blocked drains, whatever you do. The customer picks the job and describes it, and it arrives in Moon HQ as a new enquiry with their name, phone number and email.
From there you call, text or email them in one tap, and the whole conversation stays on that customer's history: what they asked for, what you quoted and what they paid.
Found by people in the towns you cover
Your website lists the towns and districts you work in, and when it goes live it gets page titles, a sitemap, structured data and an llms.txt built from what your site actually shows, so Google and AI assistants can read your business properly. A daily SEO check tells you, in plain words, what to fix next.
Nobody can honestly promise a place at the top of Google, and we do not. What we do is set everything up the way search engines ask for, and keep it that way on every change you make.
Trust before they ring
People choose a plumber they trust. Your website shows a gallery of your own jobs, your reviews and your qualifications in your own words, and links to your Google and Trustpilot pages so happy customers can leave you a review.
Getting paid
Record what each customer paid, by cash, card or bank transfer, and see it on their history. If you want to take card payments online, connect your own Stripe account and the money goes straight to your bank.
